The QA Director serves as an executive leader responsible for defining, shaping, and executing the enterprise-wide Quality & Food Safety Strategy across all operational footprints. Operating from our flagship manufacturing center in Binh Duong, this position acts as a key strategic advisor to the Executive Board (BoD) and C-Suite, ensuring that quality and compliance seamlessly integrate into overall business growth, brand equity, and operational excellence.
This role requires a visionary leader capable of navigating complex executive expectations, leading large-scale cultural and technological transformations, and inspiring multi-tiered quality organizations to achieve world-class standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the strategic partner and primary Quality advisor to the Executive Board, CEO, and Functional Directors (Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial, Legal).
- Align quality goals with commercial ambitions, balancing risk mitigation with business agility and speed-to-market.
- Effectively manage C-level expectations through data-driven reporting, executive dashboards, and transparent risk assessments.
- Translate complex quality, regulatory, and technical risks into business language to facilitate executive decision-making.
- Formulate and execute a multi-year enterprise Quality Strategy aligned with global expansion and long-term corporate goals.
- Establish standard quality governance frameworks, policies, and operating models across multi-site manufacturing hubs and vendor networks.
- Champion a corporate-wide "Culture of Quality Excellence", embedding quality ownership into every operational unit from shop floor to executive suite.
- Lead strategic transformation projects, incorporating advanced automation, digitalization, and predictive quality analytics into QMS.
- Own the enterprise-level Quality Risk Management, Incident Containment, and Crisis Mitigation frameworks to safeguard brand reputation.
- Serve as the executive chairperson for product recall and critical incident management committees.
- Anticipate shifts in global regulatory landscapes, food safety standards, and market dynamics to future-proof operational compliance.
- Partner with Procurement leadership to establish strategic vendor governance models and high-impact supplier quality strategies.
- Elevate end-to-end supply chain transparency, establishing rigorous quality benchmarks for strategic material and packaging partners.
- Oversee consumer quality sentiment trends, utilizing executive insights to drive continuous brand trust and product superiority.
- Champion enterprise-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Six Sigma strategies to optimize Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Drive process optimization initiatives that deliver tangible yield improvements, waste reduction, and operational cost savings without compromising compliance.
- Guide capital allocation (CapEx) for quality infrastructure, laboratory capabilities, and modern testing technologies.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing, resilient Quality leadership team across Binh Duong operations and regional facilities.
- Build robust succession plans for critical quality leadership roles and establish executive capability-building programs.
- Drive employee engagement, performance accountability, and talent retention across the entire Quality organization.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical fields. Master’s Degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
- Experience:
15+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and Operational Excellence within leading FMCG corporations.
At least 7–10 years in senior leadership roles (Head of QA, QA Director, or equivalent) managing large, multi-site quality organizations.
Proven track record of direct interaction, reporting, and expectation management with Board of Directors and C-level executives.
Strong expertise in managing large-scale manufacturing facilities and complex supply chains.
