We are seeking a visionary, hands-on Logistics Director who will act as the master architect of the countrywide logistics function. The successful candidate will design the long-term logistics strategy, establish standard cold-chain SOPs from zero, optimize multi-site warehouse and fleet operations, and build a high-performing supply chain organization to drive operational cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, draft, and implement the enterprise's inaugural end-to-end Logistics Strategy, core SOPs, and operational guidelines from scratch across all national hubs.
- Architect the master network layout for multi-temperature warehousing (Cold Storage, Chilled, and Ambient) and regional distribution centers (DCs) nationwide.
- Evaluate, select, and deploy digital supply chain tools (Warehouse Management System - WMS, Transportation Management System - TMS, and GPS fleet tracking) from ground zero.
- Oversee and standardize nationwide cold-chain warehouse operations, ensuring strict temperature compliance, food safety standards, inventory accuracy, and zero stock spoilage.
- Re-engineer warehouse layouts, storage density, picking/packing workflows, and material handling procedures to improve throughput capacity.
- Conduct hands-on field audits across all warehouse sites to identify operational bottlenecks, safety hazards, and inventory leakages.
- Build and manage an integrated transport distribution network, combining in-house cold fleet management with 3PL/4PL vendor selection and negotiation.
- Optimize nationwide delivery routes, vehicle fill rates, and drop-point efficiency to serve over tens of thousands of retail points (MT, TT, HORECA, and regional depots).
- Establish strict SLAs, delivery accuracy targets, and cold-chain integrity protocols for last-mile delivery.
- Build the complete Logistics P&L, annual budget, and CAPEX/OPEX forecasts from scratch, driving cost-per-case and cost-to-serve optimization.
- Structurally design the Logistics Organization: define team structures, job roles, KPIs, and operational safety training programs for warehouse workers, drivers, and logistics coordinators.
- Serve as a core strategic partner to the CEO, delivering data-backed logistics reporting, risk mitigation plans, and operational feasibility assessments for business initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years in senior logistics leadership roles (Logistics Director, Head of Logistics, or Supply Chain Director). Must have direct experience building or overhauling logistics operations from scratch within FMCG, Food & Beverage, Cold-Chain Logistics, or Multi-Site Retail Distribution.
- Fluent in English (Advanced Business Proficiency) for direct strategic reporting and vendor negotiations.
- Cold-Chain Mastery: Deep technical understanding of cold storage infrastructure (HVAC/Refrigeration systems, multi-temperature management, HACCP/ISO food safety in logistics).
- Proven track record in building operational SOPs from zero and implementing WMS/TMS solutions.
- Strong expertise in route planning, 3PL contract negotiations, and mixed-fleet cost control.
- Highly active in field operations; regularly inspects warehouses, cold rooms, and delivery routes rather than managing solely from an office.
- Strong capability to build operational systems, data dashboards, and financial models without relying on pre-existing organizational structures.
- Exceptional leadership, crisis management, decisive problem-solving, and strong negotiation skills.
